the most beautiful thin silky paper bark peelings from these simple sweet trees, peeled, pressed, stitched and loved.

Determining which of the most delicate or rich gold surface to use ~ I love the small insect like wounds that punctuate the bark, like some small fossil.

on the other hand the reverse shows a stunning gold smoothness, silky soft and just so scrumptious, how wonderful nature can be in its hidden gems!

Stitch and more, decision made to allow the delicate surface to shine.

Last evening on the beach the ball of red glowing with a colour swamp sky – what an uplifting environment to walk, wave tumbled sand reflecting rosy blues in the salty leavings – sea on its way out having washed the land clean. Sky deepening to deepest ultramarine and moon rising with the biggest smile!

begin at the start – home, across the divide over our garden across the valley are clouds of shell pink inviting me to wake up and run to the sea!

Hi

I’m new to this, as yet I don’t know if it’s going to help, take away time or what!

I have just signed up as an Artist in Residence at Worcester University, huge excitement, I will use this blog to keep a diary of how things go.  First visit will be next week.  In the meantime I will spend a bit of time to get my head round this blog system and see what it can do!

I do have a web site you might like to look at.  It is at:-

message me back with your comments!
